This course is an in-depth look at several of the technologies
currently in use to develop applications for the web. Topics
include the use of Java Servlets and Java Server Pages (JSP)
and their benefits over traditional CGI programs, the development
of web services using SOAP and XML and the use of Java Beans to
encapsulate server-side business logic. Several programming projects
will done using these technologies and an appropriate web server,
such as Apache Tomcat. In addition, several related technologies,
such as PHP and Velocity, will be covered.
