Summary:  Localizing content for visitors is a critical element for developers who want their Web applications to have global impact. Internationalization features have been part of the Java programming language since JDK 1.1, and the JSP Standard Tag Library (JSTL) fmt library provides convenient access to all of these features through a focused set of custom tags.
